Italian Community

As one of Australia’s major ports of entry following World War II, Fremantle has grown to become the home of many Italians in Western Australia.

When Fr Gaetano Nanni (1919 – 2012) arrived in Fremantle in 1951, he created a legacy that continues to shape our Parish today. We pride ourselves on our  continued service to the Italo-Australians who call our port city their home.

An Italian Mass is celebrated every Sunday at 9.30am, and Italian Reconciliation is offered every Saturday between 10.30 and 11.30am. An Italian Prayer Group also meets every Wednesday evening.
